The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Welfare Office-9 has rendered airport assistance to an overseas foreign worker (OFW) who is reportedly suffering from psychological distress.

The worker was identified as Leylanie Bulandres, a worker from Saudi Arabia.

Bulandres left for Riyadh six years ago and failed to communicate with her family since that time.

As a result, Bulandres suffered from psychological distress, a condition used to describe unpleasant feelings or emotions that impact an individual’s level of functioning.

A group of OWWA officials, including OWWA Repatriation and Assistance Division Officers Maribel Carisusa and Julian Vasquez together with staff members Rosellie Florida and Khalil Isser S. Lorena, accompanied Bulandres to her hometown of RT Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay.  (OWWA PR)
