A policeman and his two ‘lechon’ stand workers were shot and wounded by one of the two motorcycle riding gunmen in Jamisola, Santa Lucia, Pagadian City on Friday night.

The victims were identified as PO2 Prometheus Paras Remolador, 41, married, assigned in Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, 902nd Maneuvering Company in Balintawak, Pagadian City; Glendel Garciano Delator, 33 and Melchor Pasyol Siso, 21, both lechon workers of the cop.

They sustained bullet wounds in their body and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation showed that around 8:45 p.m. Remolador and his two workers were working at his lechon stand when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle arrived and suddenly stopped in front of them.

The back rider suddenly drew a .45 caliber pistol and shot them several times.

The gunmen then sped away after the shooting.

Police investigators recovered one deformed slug and four spent shells of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.—Dan Toribio
