Operatives of the City Police Office’s Anti-Carnapping Unit under the supervision of City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo recovered two stolen motorcycles and arrested three suspected motorcycle thieves at Canelar Barter yesterday afternoon.

The anti-carnapping unit led by Insp. Mohammar Mariwa rushed to Canelar Barter after receiving an information that three young men were selling suspected stolen motorcycles in the said place.

Upon the arrival, Mariwa’s team collared Puyo Amiraji, 23, of Rio Hondo, Alvin Barring and Ian Carseta, both of Canelar. They were selling a stolen Demak motorcycle at P5,000.

During investigation, police found out that the Honda Wave driven by Amiraji was also a stolen motorcycle .
Amiraji told the police that he and a certain Danny Galapun stole the Demak motorcycle at the old public market last week, while the Honda Wave was stolen at dawn last Saturday in the city proper.

The team conducted a follow-up operation yesterday for the possible arrest of Galapun. — Dan Toribio Jr.
