Suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits seized a ten-year-old boy during a daring abduction incident in Barangay San Raymundo, Jolo Sulu yesterday morning.

A police report said that the boy, a 13-year-old girl and a driver of an owner-type jeep identified as Aldasir Tallow were in the vicinity of the Sanitarium Hospital when the abduction took place.

The group was travelling along the Laith-Jolo Road coming from the victim’s house in Shiek Mustafa Subdivision in San Raymundo going towards Notre Dame Elementary School at 7:20 a.m. when six gunmen onboard motorcycles blocked the road.

The suspects took the boy which they brought to an unknown direction.

Tallow identified two of the six suspects as Al-Nizam Latip and Nammel Ahajai aka Gapas.

Police have conducted hot pursuit operations.  (Dan Toribio)
