The elder sister of a former kagawad of Tetuan, this city, and her grandson were abducted by four gunmen in San Jose District, Pagadian City last Saturday night.

A police report identified the victims as Nenia Gomonit y Candil, 64, married and her grandson Ceekim Gomonit, 10.

Nenia is the elder sister of Totoy Candil of Tetuan and a retired guidance counselor of a public school in Pagadian City.

Police disclosed that the Gomonit family was inside their house around 10 p.m. when three gunmen and a woman broke in and pointed their guns at them.

The gunmen hogtied Gomonit’s husband Dannel and their houseboy before they left.

Dannel told the police that the abductors dragged his wife and their grandson to a waiting blue Isuzu Trooper with plate number KBG 711 that sped away towards unknown direction.

Police said the abductors used a packaging tape to gag Nenia and Ceekim and nylon rope to tie Dannel and their houseboy.

The Gomonit family was still trying to establish communication with the abductors.

The Zamboanga del Sur police have launched rescue operations for the victims.
