Land Transportation Office 9 Director Aminola P. Abaton disclosed yesterday that public utility jeepney operators, public utility multi-cabs and Asian Utility Vehicle serving at any wharves in the country will be includedin the second batch release of Pantawid Pasada fuel subsidy cards.

Abaton said this new development from the Department of Energy was revealed to him by LTO Assistant Secretary Virginia Torres during her visit here last September 1, 2011  to preside a conference with Abaton and Senior Transportation Regulation Officers of LTO 9.       Torres also directed Abaton to continue the  implementation of  the Clean Air Act of 1999 known as  R. A 8749.

Abaton said the distribution of the Pantawid Pasada cards  to beneficiaries has reached 86 percent or equivalent to 1,553 . DOE has allocated 1,810 cards for LTO 9.
Abaton said that Torres will preside a Directors Conference scheduled from September 21 to 23  and hosted by the Ilocandia Region.

Meanwhile,  Abaton directed all district offices which are International Organization Standard  (ISO) certified to maintain their quality and excellent and efficient service to LTO clients. LTO central office has issued memorandum that  a third party audit will be conducted  for the renewal of ISO certification by November, this year. 
Driver Renewal License  Center at Yubengco Mall, Zamboanga City and Dipolog City will be given a new ISO certification. —  Allen Abastillas
