“Dedicated ito sa ating constituents, job seekers, and sa graduates ng TESDA who want to upgrade their skills,” Efren Piñol, TESDA 9 regional director said.

RA 10970, National Tech-Voc Day, aims to promote technical and vocational education and training in the country.

This is in line with TESDA’s 24th anniversary.

The twin events include information communication, job linking, guidance and training for employment, and networking linkages.

Representatives from other government agencies were present during the activity.

The local government led by Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar also provided support.

The regional director is encouraging everyone to take vocational courses as skills are in demand not only in the Philippines as well as abroad.

“Now the President is gearing towards build, build, build sinong mauunang magka trabaho? Normally itong mga technical skills TESDA graduates like welders, plumbers, carpenters, and mason,” Piñol said.

Graduates of four-year courses are also reportedly enrolling at TESDA to enhance their skills.   (RGAAGo)
