Two nabbed in Mangusu raid Print

Two persons were nabbed during a police raid within the vicinity of Duncaan Drive and Tamaraan Drive, Mangusu last Saturday morning.

A police report showed that around 5:30 a.m. policemen swooped down in the area and served two search warrants to Joaquin Diaz and Apollo Diaz for illegal possession of firearms.

The warrants were issued by Judge Gregorio Dela Peña III of the Regional Trial Court.

During the search, lawmen recovered two 12 gauge shotguns, ammunition for a shotgun , 27 bullets for caliber 5.56 and assorted gun paraphernalia.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Information Officer,  said that the raid was conducted by operatives of the 904th Maneuver Company of RMFB9, Regional Intelligence Division, Vitali Police Station and 55th Special Action Company, PNP-SAF.

The suspects were detained pending the filing of charges in court.  (Dan Toribio)
