Father, 3-year-old son hurt in shooting Print

A 40-year-old man and his 3-year-old son were shot and wounded in their residence in Betty 2 Drive, Sta. Catalina on Tuesday night.

The shooting victims were identified as Samuel Solis y Torres, married and his son Sam Christopher Solis.

Solis sustained bullet wounds in the stomach and left buttock while his son was shot in the left leg.

They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police identified the gunman as Carlos Permajin y Tan with aliases Aki and Alot, 57 of Betty I Drive, Sta. Catalina.

Initial police investigation showed that around 6:45 p.m. Solis was repacking charcoal at the terrace of their house when Permajin arrived, and without a word, pointed a gun into his head.

Solis was able to evade when the suspect squeezed the trigger, but still hitting him in the stomach and left portion of the buttock while his son was hit in the left leg.

Police recovered three spent shells of .45 caliber pistol and three spent shells of 9mm and a deformed slug at the crime scene.
