City Hall optimistic on IMC approval in AGMA Print

Former City Councilor and now City Hall spokesperson Jawo Jimenez yesterday expressed hope that the member-consumers of the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative (Zamcelco) will already approve the Investment Management Contract (IMC) in the Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA), set on September 11, 2018.

Jimenez said that the City Government of Zamboanga is very much thankful that finally, Zamcelco will soon be able to start rehabilitation after an investor won the IMC to manage the local power coop.

He disclosed that the city government under Mayor Beng Climaco expressed gratitude that a multi-million company has decided to invest and help the ailing electric cooperative stand on its own feet again.

"Although some people are still questioning the bidding process, but hopefully Zamcelco officials will be able to clear the doubts," Jimenez stressed.

“Antes pa ta pidi ya quita con el maga oficiales del Zamcelco para precura ya busca compania quien puede man manage bajo na IMC. Por mas de dos años el Zamcelco ya precura condusi el bidding pero pirmi falyao. Ahora alegre ya quita cay ya realisa siempre el maga pidimiento del maga consumers,” Jimenez emphasized.

Jimenez also expressed confidence that Crown Investment Holdings and Desco, with the assistance of a Category A power cooperative in Agusan del Sur Electric Cooperative, will be able to bring Zamcelco back to category A. (SS)
