Celso meets CHED's Educ assistance beneficiaries Print

Congressman Celso Lobregat together with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the scholarship directors of the different tertiary public and private schools here in Zamboanga City met over the weekend with the 2nd batch of CHED's Tulong Dunong Program.

More than 700 students from Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC), Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST), Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU), Southern City Colleges (SCC), Pilar College and Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) attended the said orientation which was held last September 8, 2018 at ZCSPC gymnasium.

In his message to the students, Congressman Lobregat stressed the significance and importance of their studies, as well as the convenience they will obtain from studying having the educational assistance given them.

“With the Tulong Dunong Educational Assistance, it is our hope that we can provide you with a good education and a chance for a better life. Someone once said " I cannot come back and start a new beginning but you can start today to make a better ending," Lobregat said.

“Tulong Dunong” is a continuing educational assistance program of CHED in coordination with the Office of Congressman Celso Lobregat. (Dexter Yap)
