The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has conducted a public consultation on RA 11032 or Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 on Monday at Royce Convention, Grand Astoria Hotel.

Mary Jean Pacheco, DTI assistant secretary, said that they were here in the city for a public consultation and to get inputs for the crafting of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for the mentioned law.

She said that they already finished the consultation for Mindanao where they went to regions 9, 10, 11, 12, and CARAGA region.

Hundreds attended the consultation, which includes the private and public sectors coming from Region 9 and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). All the inputs taken from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao shall be consolidated to craft the IRR.

The law is not only limited to businesses but also for those who are getting their papers from the government. Included are business permit, birth certificate, voters ID, clearances, and others.

The law took effect on June 17, 2018, and by October 22, they are targeting to finish the crafting of the IRR.

"Importante ito kasi ang objective nito ay mapadali yung proceso sa gobyerno para maging hassel-free yung pag apply ng mga permits and licenses," Pacheco emphasized. (R.G. A A. Go)
