P224,00 worth of shabu seized in Pasonanca PDF Print E-mail

More than P200,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized by authorities during a raid at a residence in Barangay Pasonanca last Saturday.

Chief Insp. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Information Officer, said that the drugs were confiscated when police served a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the 2002 Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act to Alden Suraji, alias Al, 30 years old.

During the search, lawmen recovered four large sized sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P224,000, a digital weighing scale, tissue paper and a black pouch.

The suspect was detained at Police Station 11 while the confiscated items were forwarded to the PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

Police are preparing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 against the suspect.

Units responsible for the raid include Police Stations 7 and 11, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), C2 Tactical Operation Command Philippine Air Force, and the 904th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9.  (Dan Toribio)
