Guard nabbed for carrying unlicensed gun PDF Print E-mail

A security guard was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm during a “Kap-kap Bakal” operation conducted by the police at Shindig nightspot court last Monday night.

Police identified the suspect as Jefrey Tumalac, 35, married, of Salukot Drive, Pasonanca. Seized from his possession was a .38 cal. revolver with four bullets in the cylinder.

The police spotted Tumalac in one of the beer joints at Shindig bringing a gun while having a drinking psree. Timely the team was on “Kap-kap Bakal” operation. They frisked Tumalac and found a revolver in his possession.

During interrogation, Tumalac identified himself as a security guard, but he could not produce any document legalizing him to possess and carry firearm.
Tumalac was brought to the polcie station and the gun was turned over to an investigator pending the filing of charges against the security guardt. — Dan Toribio Jr.
