An employee of the Pagadian City government was shot to death while a farmer was wounded while his wife and children escaped unhurt in two separate shooting incidents in San Jose District, Pagadian City, and Aurora Municipality last Monday night.

Police identified the victim as Mike Macarban, married. He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body.
Police said that Macarban was tailed by the gunman while he was on his way home from city hall about 6 p.m.

A Kawasaki Aura motorcycle with plate number KJ 2849 blocked his path and the backrider suddenly pulled out a .45 cal. pistol and shot him. The motorcycle sped away towards unknown direction.

Meanwhile, a farmer was wounded while his wife and children were unhurt after their house was sprayed with bullets by unidentified men in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
Wounded was Ian Palangan, 28, married. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.    Police said that Palangan and his family were asleep about 11 p.m. when the gunmen opened fire on their house. — Noning R. Antonio
