Task Force Galvez, created by Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Elpidio Z. De Asis Jr. to search and rescue kidnap victim Luisa Galvez Morrison is now activated.
The task force is headed by  Sr. Supt. Felixberto Candado.

Galvez, wife of a British national, was kidnapped last September  4, 2011 at her RL Beauty Salon in Barangay Poblacion, Ipil,  Zamboanga Sibugay.
Chief Supt. De Asis said he has received an information from Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office Director Sr. Supt. Ruben Cariaga that Galvez has already been taken out of Sibugay, but is still being kept by her captors somewhere in Zamboanga Peninsula.

”Our (police) troopers are working day and night  to search and rescue Galvez,” De Asis said.
On the other hand, City Police Office Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo disclosed that the task force formed for the rescue of  kidnap victims Gerfa and and son Kevin
Eric Lunsmann was elevated to the regional level.

According to Deocampo, it was elevated to regional level because the mother and son was brought to Basilan province which is outside of the jurisdiction of the Zamboanga City Police Office.

”We are just coordinating with  the PRO- Autonomous Regiona Muslim Mindanao, Deocampo said. — Allen Abastillas
