Stolen motorcycle abandoned in Boalan PDF Print E-mail

A motorcycle which was stolen along Gov. Ramos Avenue in Sta. Maria last Tuesday night was recovered along the Boalan portion of Maria Clara Lobregat Highway yesterday morning.

Last Tuesday, Edmond Alvarez y Macapili, 52, married, a resident of Alvarez Drive, Sta. Maria reported to police that his Honda Wave motorcycle with plate number JE 2912 was missing after he parked it near La Merced Funeral Homes in Gov. Ramos Avenue, Sta. Maria.

Sta. Maria police issued an alarm to all police stations in the city informing them of the missing motorcycle.

At around 6am yesterday, residents and barangay tanods of Boalan spotted the missing motorcycle hidden behind the bushes along the highway.

Barangay tanods reported the recovery to the Divisoria Police Station for investigation.

Police suspect that the culprit left the motorcycle after its fuel tank ran out of gas.

Photo copies of the Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt indicating Alvarez’s name as the owner were also recovered inside the u-box.

The motorcycle was brought to the Divisoria Police Station for disposition. (Dan Toribio)
