Police were able to confiscate P170,000 worth of shabu from three drivers during a drug bust operation in Barangay Recodo at dawn yesterday.

Police Regional Director, Chief Supt. Emmanuel Luis Licup, disclosed that the operation was conducted by men of the Ayala Police Station at  around 1:30 a.m.

Licup identified the suspects as Adalmie Susulan y Akil, 33, habal-habal driver of Purok 8, Recodo; Jaber Amarul y Ahay, 40, pedicab driver of the same place and Arsadar Jaji y Amirul, 35, PUJ driver of Purok 1, Recodo.

The police official said that the arresting team confiscated  13 sachets of shabu and P300 marked money from the three suspects.

The three drivers were detained while the seized items were forwarded to the PNP Crime Laboratory for examination.

The police official added that the suspects will be charged for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, the 2002 Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. – Dan Toribio
