A 19-year-old college student was stabbed and seriously wounded by a burglar who robbed his sister’s belongings inside their house in Hill Town Subdivision, San Roque at dawn last Saturday.

Police identified the victim as Ali Jibril Candero y Dumago, single, a 3rd year student of HMIJ Islamic Colleges.

A police report disclosed that the burglar entered Candero’s house around 3 a.m. and went straight to Candero’s sister room.

Candero’s sister Mary Ann Nisa Dumago woke up and screamed for help after she saw the burglar carting her belongings.

The burglar struck a fist blow on Mary Ann Nisa’s mouth.

Ali Jibril stood up and tried to assist his sister but the burglar attacked him with a knife.

Ali Jibril sustained stab wounds in the left part of the abdomen and left part of the chest.

The burglar quickly left the house with the stolen items after he saw Al Jibril fell on the floor.

Al Jibril was rushed to the Brent Hospital for treatment while the incident was reported to the police station.

The victims described the intruder as 5’3 tall, 20-25 tears old, small built, with fair complexion, with handkerchief covering his face and was wearing only underwear. — Dan Toribio Jr.
