Ex-cop shot, hurt PDF Print E-mail

A former policeman was shot and seriously wounded at Sitio Aplaya, Manicahan yesterday morning.

Sangali police station commander, Chief Insp. Elmer Acuña, identified the victim as Allan Pantaleon of Aplaya, Manicahan.

Police said Pantaleon sustained bullet wounds in the stomach and right hand. He was rushed to a private hospital for treatment.

Initial investigation showed that Pantaleon was buying some items at a store around 8 a.m. when two men appeared and held him.

One of the two men pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and shot him twice. The suspects hurriedly left after the incident.

Acuña and his men rushed to the crime scene and conducted a follow-up operation but but residents did not cooperate with them.

He said they will continue their investigation for the immediate arrest of the suspects. — Dan Toribio Jr.
