Thirty recruits undergoing training in Camp Abendan are back to camp after they were rushed to the hospital due to stomach pain and diarrhea

The trainees had complained last monday of stomach pain prompting police officials to rush them to hospital for medical check-up.

A source said the 30 trainees may have drunk contaminated in the camp but this was denied by Police Supt. Marcelo Bolivar, head of the training center in Camp Abendan.

Bolivar said they were still investigating the incident to determine what triggered the incident.

Prior to the incident, the trainees went out of the camp and proceeded to Bolong for their scheduled seaborne training.

Some of the trainees allegedly drank water at the barangay but it could not be ascertained yet  if that was the cause of the incident.

Bolivar  also suspected the trainees may have drunk seawater  during their training exercise. — Noning R. Antonio
