‘Tres Dias de Musica’ na Plaza set Oct. 7-9 PDF Print E-mail

Six of the hottest bands in the country today will rock the City in a 3-night back-to-back free concert at Plaza del Pilar from October 7 to 9.

Dubbed “Tres Dias de Musica y Alegria na Plaza del Pilar”, the first-ever concert series will feature mouthwatering tandems of professional band performers whose hits are topping the mainstream of music charts.

Siakol and Maldita will initiate the thrill on October 7 at 8:30 PM. They will be followed by Side A Band and Delara on October 8 at the same time and venue.
On October 9, Rivermaya and True Faith will conclude the concert series that form part of the 2011 Zamboanga Hermosa Festival and also in celebration of the 1st Anniversary of Iggy’s Ducks and Dogs Place.

The 3-part music extravaganza will commence after the last evening of the 6-night elimination rounds of Rakista Zamboanga-another band competition spectacle that features amateur band performers with their original Chabacano composition.

After the performances of the last mentioned tandem, the succeeding evening, October 10, will be the semi finals of the Rakista Zamboanga-Rock the Fort where 12 bands will outplay each other to qualify for the super six who will also compete in the finals on October 11.

Aside from the mentioned rock-banging events, Urbandub featuring Mottaka Band and Parokya ni Edgar Band will also have separate concerts at the City Coliseum and in Gov. Camins Avenue, respectively.

This year’s Fiesta Hermosa is sizzling with concerts and band performances that are boosting the excitement of all people of different ages and walks of life. Truly, it lives to the expectations of being the grandest festival in the City! — Richard Aliangan
