A 54-year-old man was shot dead by one of two men riding on a motorcycle at Palmeras Drive, Guiwan at dawn yesterday.

The fatality was identified as Salvador Gramatica y Borelal, single.

Police said the incident took place around 12:50 a.m. in front of Gramatica’s house.

Initial investigation disclosed that Gramatica arrived home late night and their house was already closed. So slept aboard a pedicab owned by their neighbor parked near their residence.

Two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and the backrider alighted and shot Gramatica in the body twice.

The gunmen sped away while the victim was rushed to the hospital where physicians declared him dead on arrival.

Recovered at the crime scene were two spent shells of .45 caliber pistol.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo disclosed that the Tetuan police investigators were looking at circumstances vital to get the killers.
