Men of the Dipolog City Police Station and Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office arrested two members of the Moro National Liberation Front —  one claiming he holds the rank of  Brigadier General and the other saying a sergeant — at a bus terminal in Miputak, Dipolog City last Monday afternoon.

The policemen led by SPO3 Antonio Tapales had received an information on suspicious persons at the bus terminal prompting them to proceed to the area where they spotted the two MNLFs wearing camouflage uniforms.

Police later identified the two MNLFs as Ronie Dumandan, 37, of Gutalac, who claimed  he holds the rank of a Brigadier General in the MNLF and his companion Romeo
Jimla Ampoan of Marawi City.

When frisked, one of the duo yielded a .45 caliber pistol, loaded with bullets.

Police said the duo claimed they were members of the Armed Forces of Bangsamoro Unified Muslim Christian and HighLander Special Force based in Bukidnon, Caraga, and Northern Mindanao Task Force Command. — Noning R. Antonio
