Mr. Norbert Holter, a German national, has  joined District 2 Councilor Miguel “Mike” Alavar III in giving prizes to lucky listeners in a radio program.

Last Sunday, November 6, 2011, six listeners of “Hecho de Zamboanga” aired over DXKZ Wild 91.5 FM, hosted by Dan Toribio Jr. and Dukes “Bro Pongi” Zapanta, Holter donated cash to buy foodstuff to be given to winners along with the gifts of Alavar for the month of November.

Holter and Alavar have the same goal of helping  and giving inspiration to the people especially the less fortunate.

The German national has been helping several students in a public school in the city by giving them school supplies and uniforms as well as other school requirements.

Hecho de Zamboanga is a radio program where topics of livelihood of the Food Processors Association of Zamboanga (FPAZ) are being discussed. Alavar is the number one supporter of the program. He gives surprises to lucky listeners who join in the question and answer portion via cell phone text messages.

Aside from the FPAZ’ livelihood programs, accomplishments of Alavar are also one of the topics of the radio program.

Alavar also sponsored some foodstuff for five inmates of the Zamboanga City Reformatory Center who joined in the live public service on the air during the radio program.—Dan Toribio Jr.
