Mayor Celso Lobregat has cited operatives of the anti-carnap and investigation groups of the City Police Office for the swift arrest of 3 suspects in the series of motorcycle heist and shooting incidents in the city recently.

At the same time, the chief executive exhorted the victims in the different incidents to pursue charges against the suspects in a bid to ensure a solid and strong case.
“I acknowledge the fast reaction of the police not only in investigating but also in arresting the suspects”, the mayor said in an interview with reporters covering the City Police Office Monday afternoon.

The swift arrest of the suspects, he said is proof that indeed crime does not pay.    “This shows that crime does not pay, that is the message that we want across”.

The 3 suspects—Damsa Samuddin y Mohammad, 18, of PC Compound; Mar John Aradais y Halipa, 16, of Alejo Alvarez and Abdulkalbi Ingko y Zamora, 28, of Camp Batalla were presented to Mayor Lobregat by City Police OIC director Col. Edwin de Ocampo Monday afternoon at the Central Police Station.

The three are allegedly involved in the shooting of a motorcyclist along San Jose Road and another along Gov. Ramos Avenue Thursday night. They were positively identified by one of their victims when they were presented to the chief executive.    They were nabbed at the PC Compound at Alejo Alvarez Street.

The suspects are currently detained at the City central Police Station.

As this developed, police authorities have urged victims of other motorcycle thievery incidents to check proceed to the police station for possible identification of the suspect or suspects.
