Vitali trader shot dead in Tungawan PDF Print E-mail

A businessman from Barangay Vitali, this city, was shot to death by a still unidentified gunman in Barangay Tigpalay, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay Province, last Monday afternoon.

Dead on the spot was Roger Alfaro, 41, married, He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are eyeing business rivalry as a possible motive behind the killing.

Investigation disclosed that Alfaro was aboard his delivery van and was delivering bread at one of the stores in Tungawan when he was shot at close range.

The gunman aboard motorcycle suddenly appeared and blocked his path suddenly drew a hand gun and shot Alfaro repeatedly before fleeing towards unknown direction.

Residents in the area reported the incident to the police. A hot pursuit operation was carried out but the lawmen returned empty handed.  — Noning R. Antonio
