Officials of Siocon, Sirawai and Baliguian in Zamboanga del Norte have assured Land Transportation Office-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton that they will shoulder the expenses for the acquisition of signages and road safety reminder billboards or to be established in the different road  entries and exits of the  three municipalities.

The officials and all stakeholders of the three towns who participated in the “Road Safety Seminar” held last October 28 to 29,2011 suggested to Abaton that the road signs be written in localdialects like Bisaya and Tagalog so that motorists and other people will easily understand it.

Abaton explained that the road safety seminar and the putting up of road signages are pilot projects of LTO-9 in the region.

Some 200 persons from the three municipalities participated in the road safety seminar.

Abaton has commended  all the members of the Department of Transportation and Communication- Regional Management Council 9 for a job well done in the
implementation of Oplan Kaluluwa during the celebration of All Saints and All Souls Day

Members of the DOTC-RMC9 are the Land Transportation Office 9,  Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime Industry and Authority, Philippine Ports Authority, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, National  Telecommunication, Land Transportation and Franchisng Regulatory Board and the Philippine  Postal Office.    Highway Patrol Group 9 Chief  Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy and all HPG provincial teams had joined in the implementation of  Oplan Kaluluwa.
