A habal-habal driver was killed and his motorcycle was stolen by an unidentified man and his female woman at Upper Nangkal, Cawit last Wednesday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as Reynaldo Francisco, 57, married, of Lapakan. He sustained wounds on his forehead.

Investigation disclosed that a man and a woman boarded Francisco’s habal-habal pretending to be passengers. They instructed him to bring them to Upper Nangkal.

People living nearby said they saw the Francisco and the man and woman passed prior to the discovery of Francisco’s body.

Several minutes later witnesses told investigators they saw only the man and woman aboard the motorcycle leaving the area without Francisco.

The body of Francisco was later discovered by residents amid grasses.
