A 32-year-old female Overseas Filipino Worker was shot dead by one of two gunmen inside their rented house in Motorpool, Pasonanca yesterday morning.

The fatality was identified as Melisa Felias, separated, a native of Vitali and was temporarily residing in Pasonanca.

Reports reaching Daily Zamboanga Times disclosed that Felias was inside their rented house around 7 a.m. when two men aboard a motorcycle arrived.

The two men alighted and one of them pretended to be customer. He bought something from a store beside Felias’ rented house while the second suspect broke in and shot her at close range.

The gunmen sped away aboard their motorcycle while Felias was rushed to the hospital where she expired due to a bullet wound in the body.

It was learned that Felias was previously stabbed and wounded because of personal dispute.

Sta. Maria police station investigators under Chief Insp. Felix Martinez were looking into love triangle as the possible motive behind the killing. They were still digging deeper into the case. — Dan Toribio Jr.
