Student stabbed by holduppers PDF Print E-mail

A second year college student was stabbed and wounded by one of two holduppers at Johnston Subdivision, San Jose last Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was identified as Lormie Porras y Paclibar, 22, a student of the Zamboanga Polytechnic College.

A police report disclosed that Porras was walking on his way to school around 2:50 p.m. when two men aboard a motorcycle blocked his path and announced a holdup at knife point near the main road of San Jose.

The backrider grabbed Porras’ bag but he managed to retain his cell phone.

One of the holduppers stabbed Porras in the thigh then they sped away with the bag.

Meanwhile, two suspected snatchers seized a shoulder bag containing P1,200 and other valuables owned by Maria Sheila Constantino, a sales representative of Pepsi Cola products in Tumaga Porcentro last Tuesday morning.

Constantino and Rey Suare, a truck driver, were delivering Pepsi Cola products in  Tumaga Porcentro around 10:30 a.m. when two young men appeared and seized the former’s bag which was placed near the driver’s seat. The snatchers then ran away.

The snatching took place few hours after Luzviminda Famelar was shot dead by two men near the Iglesia ni Cristo. — Dan Toribio Jr.
