Blue Eagles fly back today to Alma Mater for their grand alumni homecoming!

District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian yesterday enjoins fellow alumni of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) to attend and actively participate in tonight’s grand alumni homecoming in Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) campus.

Rep.Fabian, who belongs to High School Batch ’74, said that the alumni fellowship night is considered as one of the most anticipated and well attended gatherings of the Blue Eagles during the celebration of the weeklong alumni homecoming celebration.

“As blue-blooded Ateneans we always make it certain to attend and participate in the various alumni activities much more so the alumni night,”Fabian told reporters in an interview

The alumni fellowship night will start at 7:00 PM after a long and colorful torch parade which will pass through the major thoroughfares of the city. The night will be full of fun and merrymaking aside from the usual marvelous display of fireworks.

The Zamboanga congressman stressed that the alumni fellowship night is a time where  classmates and batchmates along with their families gather to further strengthen friendship and camaraderie amid fun and laughter and not to mention the foods and drinks.

“Indeed, this is the night where we have the chance to meet old friends and peers and  reminisce old good memories. Much more importantly, it is also a time where we try to pay honor and respect to our beloved alma mater for making us what we are today,” Fabian emphasized.

He added that many of the alumni credited their success in life from the idealism and guidance  they gained from the school.

“Thus it is incumbent upon us alumni to honor our dear alma mater,” he stressed.

A big number of the local past and present political leaders are products of ADZU  such as Rep. Fabian, Rep. Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Councilors
Benjamin Guingona, Eddie Saavedra, Rudy Lim, Jawo Jimenez, among others.

Many others are also equally successful in the private sector particularly in banking, business and media sectors.
Meanwhile, City Administrator Antonio Orendain Jr., said that the City Police Office and Task Force Zamboanga have already been directed to adopt adequate
