The Zamboanga City District Office of the Land Transportation Office has been increasing its revenue collection every month surpassing all other district offices in the region every year.

LTO Zamboanga City District Head Noel M. Noche disclosed that the monthly increase rangesfrom five to six percent.

He said that Dipolog City, Pagadian City and Zamboanga Sibugay and other district offices can not surpass the revenue collection of Zamboanga City.

The Local Government Bureau reported that Zamboanga City is a first class or Class A city with a billion income annually more than the required amount of P300 million.

LTO Zamboanga City District Office is remitting a big contribution to the national coffers in terms of revenue, while Dipolog City and Pagadian City have been downgraded from first class to second class city. The two cities can not maintain an income of P300 million annually.

Meanwhile, 16 Transportation District Officers of the Land Transportation Office-9 will attend a seminar- workshop on LTO- Operations (Registration, Licensing and Law Enforcement) at Mimosa Gulf and Country Club in Clark Field Angeles City Pampanga on Nov. 17 and 18.

LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton has received the Travel Order number VPT-2010-371 issued by LTO Assistant Secretary Virginia P. Torres for the 16 transportation district officers of LTO-9.

In another development, Noche said his office has received the guidelines on how to refund the Radio Frequency Identification fee to motorvehicle owners, but is still waiting the release order from the LTO central office in Manila.
