WMSU set alumni homecoming PDF Print E-mail

Already on its 92nd year of hoisting proud and successful alumni, the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) will welcome its graduates to this year’s Grand Alumni Homecoming. The opening program of the event is slated on December 9 at the university’s open stage.

A Thanksgiving Mass will also be celebrated prior to the opening ceremonies in honor of the occasion at the Dr. Juanito Bruno Gymnasium and will be attended by the different alumni. A parade and review will follow through after the mass and will be participated by this year’s Golden Jubilarians-Class of 1961; Silver Jubilarians- Class of 1986; and by the officials, faculty and students of the different colleges.

The event is co-headed by the President of the WMSU Alumni Association Inc. (WMSUAAI)/ Alumni Regent, Prof. Mahmor N. Edding; and the university Director of the Alumni Relations Office-Prof. Nerissa M. Mantilla. With the theme, WMSU Alumni: Partners for Development and Excellence…True Blue, State U, the flurry of activities will continue up to December 11.

Among the highlights of the event were the Market-Market na WMSU that was put up last December 5 and will stretch up to December 11; The Best of WMSU High School Variety Show on December 8; motorcade and Alumni Grand Fellowship Night on December 9; Election of WMSUAAI Board of Directors and TRIPARTITE Affair on December 10; and lastly the Testimonial Dinner for the Jubilarians on December 11 at the Grand Astoria Hotel. — Ekeena O.
