As part of the road safety advocacy program of the Land Transportation Office and also due to the spirit of the yuletide season, LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton yesterday reminded the public not to drive motorvehicles if they are drunk and not to use cellphone while driving.

For motorcyclists, Abaton urged them to always wear safety helmet.

Abaton explained that once motorvehicle drivers violate traffic laws and the Helmet Law and other pertinent laws on traffic, enforcers will not hesitate to  impose penalties or fines agains them.

He reminded the drivers to always obey traffic laws because the fines for violators are big and the money for it is better spent for family needs.

Abaton also directed all law enforcers to consider motorvehicle drivers with minor violation in the spirit of Christmas. — Allen Abastillas
