Pirates operating in the coastal areas of Zamboanga del Norte struck anew victimizing a fisherman last week.

The latest sea attack took place off Siocon, around 9 a.m. in which Amboy Ando lost his 13 horsepower boat engine to three armed pirates.

A police report disclosed that Ando was fishing when three men aboard two other pumpboats appeared and announced holdup at gunpoint.

Ando told the police that the pirates told him to detach the engine from his boat while their guns aiming on him.

Terrified, Ando gave in to the demand of the sea marauders, who sped away with the stolen engine.

Ando reported the incident to the police but the pirates were no longer in the area during a follow-up operation.
