The Division of City Schools on Monday initiated the first ever Pazshionista, a fashion show for a cause which turned out not only as a showdown of fashion statements among students, teachers and school officials but a showcase of unity of the academic community in undertaking an event for a better cause.
Held in cooperation with the District Offices, Zamboanga Parent Teacher Association Federation and Division Social Studies Club, the fashion show brought together on the ramp 7 pairs of students, 10 male teacher models and 12 lady teacher models who ramped the stage donning attires for different occasions.

Select students modelled ethnic festival attires and various street wear, while teachers modelled cocktail dresses and gowns/mascotas with a very entertaining intermission Arabian dance number by Francheska Fausto of Tumaga Elementary School, national winner in the 2010 Press Conference.

The show, held at the City Coliseum in Tetuan, was highlighted by the special appearance of Mayor Celso Lobregat, Councilor Myra Abubakar, Dr. Maybelle Tee and Acting City Schools Superintendent Pedro Melchor Natividad.

Dr. Tee, Division Coordinator for PTA who organized the event, said part of the proceeds of the show will be used for the installation of water system facilities in two far flung elementary schools.

Major sponsors of the show were Smart, Natasha, Universidad de Zamboanga, AMA Computer School, MEMPCO, Zamboanga Ecozone and Freeport Authority, Councilors Myra Paz Abubakar and Rogelio Valesco Jr., Mayor Lobregat and Dunkin Donuts. Contributing sponsors were the couturiers—Monching Fernandez, Frederick
Rodriguez, Geronie Labora, Joy Verar, Altom Tiubot and Alzamier and Nature Spring.
