Mayor Muctar Junaid of Tabuan-Lasa Municipality, in Basilan extends his congratulatory message to the newly installed Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao OIC
Governor, Mujiv Hataman, citing his appointment as a welcome development to the entire Muslim populace in Mindanao particularly for Basilan Province.

Hataman was formally appointed OIC governor of the ARMM and took his oath of  office before President Noynoy Aquino yesterday in Malacañang.

Hataman is expected to sit in office on December 22 with an installation ceremony to be held in Cotabato City on that day.

Junaid said in an interview that the appointment of Hataman bids well for the people of Basilan Province because he is a native of the province.

“Hataman is true blooded Basileño and we should be proud of him. He knows exactly what the problem here in our province and it’s quiet advantage for us Basileños
because he is from this place,” Junaid said.

Junaid said he along with his officials and residents of Tabuan Lasa will support the new ARMM administration on the programs and projects that the government will implement.

“It will be easy for us local executives from Basilan Province to approach the new OIC governor to ask for projects and other development concerns for our municipality because he knows the present situation of our place,” Junaid explained.

Meanwhile, Hataman stressed that he will focus on the implementation of good governance, peace, security and socio economic development in the entire ARMM during his stint as OIC governor which is until 2013. — Noning R. Antonio
