All systems go for Erbie cage show tomorrow; Zambo cage stars arrive PDF Print E-mail

Except for some, the more than 30 Zamboangueño cage stars now playing in the Philippine Basketball Association or PBA, Liga Pilipinas or in the different universities and colleges in Manila have arrived for the Cong. Erbie Fabian Christmas cage show tomorrow.

“Except for some like Mark Barroca, Dondon Linganay  and RR Garcia, many have already arrived,”  Zamboanga Sports and Arts Association President Omar Basiri announced.

“The staging of Cong. Erbie Fabian Christmas cage show tomorrow is ready to make our thousands of basketball enthusiasts happy, ” added the head of the organization which initiated the event in coordination with the MILO BEST headed by Pedro Alfaro Jr. and the National Basketball Training Center or NBTC coaches head Allan Castor.
The Erbie Fabian Christmas cage show features Zamboanga’s prides Mark Barroca, the starter of Tim Cone mentored-B-Meg in the PBA and Dondon Linganay of Powerade.

Zamboangueño cage stars now donning the jersey of different universities and colleges in the Universities Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) will also see action when the Cong. Erbie Fabian cage show unfolds tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Golden Boys Sports Grill along Nuñez Ext.   

Barroca and Linganay are expected to arrive tomorrow afternoon while Garcia, the prize player of the Far Eastern University  Tamaraws and last year’s Most Valuable Player of the UAAP, will arrive tomorrow morning. 

“Our Zamboangueño basketball stars shining in the Liga Pilipinas are already here” Basiri said. Liga Pilipinas is the second to PBA premier professional league in the country. The Zamboangueño stars playing for the GENSAN Pacman of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao are Darwin Cordero, Jonathan Pareño and Feng Feng Concepcion.

The Zamboangueño basketball standouts will be grouped into three teams —  Amor White, Amor Orange and Amor Blue and shall be fitted against the best collegiate teams here in Zamboanga—Western Mindanao State University, Universidad De Zamboanga and Immaculate Conception or ICAS in a week-long tournament type event also supported by Buenas Dias Zamboanga radio program anchored by Al Alhabshi at 91.5 Wild FM every Monday to Friday from 6 to 8 in the morning, Blue Stallion promotions and EBAF Television Production.
