City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo yesterday disclosed that the Tetuan police station headed by Supt. Albert Larubis forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office last Tuesday a double murder case against two gunmen who shot and killed two policemen in Tumaga last Saturday.

De Ocampo said the identities of the suspects have been withheld pending the issuance of warrant of arrest by the court.

De Ocampo said that right after PO1 Dexter Guanzon and PO1 Gilbert Enriquez, were shot and killed at Candies Store along Veterans Extension, Tumaga last Saturday night, he and Tetuan policemen immediately went on a thorough investigation of the case which resulted in the identities of the killers.

De Ocampo said they were looking into different angles behind the killing and love triangle is one of them.

The police director assured that they will arrest the suspects as soon as the court will issue the warrant.

Based on initial investigation, the killers left the scene after shooting Guanzon and Enriquez. They walked to a house located near Candies Store.

Meanwhile, De Ocampo disclosed that the killing of Rev. Melecio Magdayao, 71, has something to do with labor dispute as he filed charges against some individuals in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

De Ocampo said investigators have already gathered lead as to the identities of the killers.

He said the case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group that is tasked to file the case against the killer ot killers.

De Ocampo explained that  his office will work hand in hand with the CIDG especially in giving information for the filing of charges in court.

Magdayao was aboard a PUJ bound for Putik at noon last Monday. The jeepney stopped in front of Doctors Hospital, and a gunman appeared and shot him twice at close range. — Dan Toribio Jr.
