Two men with heads severed were found aboard a pumpboat fdrifting off Nipa Nipa Island near Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay last Tuesday afternoon.

The victims were identified as Charlie Atilano of Poblacion Margosatubig and Fernando Pelota, of Vincenzo  Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur.

A police report disclosed that the victims’ bodies were discovered aboard a green pumpboat around 3:40 p.m. by some crew members  of a fishing boat.

The victims’ heads were separated from their bodies and they were  believed to have been cut off with bolo.

The bodies were claimed by relatives after an ocular investigation conducted by the police.

A source told DZT that Atilano and Pelota were fishing when the killers boarded their pumpboat and killed them.
