“If we can be friends why be enemies, if we can be part of solution why be part of the problem…”

Thus sums the Christmas message of City 2nd District Rep. Erbie A. Fabian on the eve of Christmas celebrations in the city.

Fabian, home for the holidays, rallied city residents anew to a united front to combat the city’s various pressing problems.

He earlier met with City Council leaders and members in a Christmas breakfast he tendered for the city’s august body and gathered the city’s 98 barangay leaders in a similar Christmas party over lunch last Wednesday and re echoed the need to stay  and forge a united front for the general well-being of the city folk.

He pointed out the city is being challenged anew by lawless elements out to sow terror and discord among the city folk at the height of the Christmas season.

Only a united front with the police and other law enforcement agencies here could reverse the tide of lawlessness currently prevailing in the city, he said.

He further stressed the gains made by the city the past few years are too valuable to be wasted.

He acknowledged the city has made significant strides in boosting development and making Zamboanga a viable destination for tourists and investors.

He said these must be solidified and pursued with more vigor and determination by all of Zamboanga.

The District 2 solon also reported better things are in store for Zamboanga in the halls of Congress.

He further reported various infrastructure programs are on stream and completed improving road networks, barangay based infra projects and health services in the city.
Fabian added his active collaboration with the city administration and his colleague in congress, Deputy Speaker and 1st Dist. Rep. Maria Isabelle Climaco- Salazar has pushed the city to progressive development not seen in years.

He said the Christmas season provides an opportunity for everyone to reflect and take stock of themselves in the hope of a better future, here in Zamboanga City, the region and the country as a whole.
