Police have forwarded to the City Prosecutor Office a murder case against one of three men who shot and killed a store owner at the old public market last week.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo identified the suspect as Aisal Alih y Hadjiri, of Sta. Teresita Drive, San Roque. Three other suspects remain unidentified.

A police report disclosed that Alih was identified by some witnesses as the gunman who shot and killed Mohammad Idris y Muksan, married, of Guiwan.

The report said the case was forwarded to the prosecutor office after investigators prepared all sworn statements of witnesses.

The suspects are all still at large but the police assured that they will be arrested as soon as the court will issue the warrant of arrest.

Idris was returning to his store after buying a gallon of water at a nearby store at the market around 5:30 p.m. last December 19 when three men appeared and one of them shot him at close range.

Idris was rushed to the hospital where he expired while undergoing treatment. — Dan Toribio Jr.
