Grenade explodes in Mampang house PDF Print E-mail

A grenade exploded inside an unoccupied house at Alvarez Drive, Mampang last Wednesday night.

Police said the explosion took place at the house of a certain Engr. Arbison around 6:45 p.m.

Residents nearby told the police that they were terrified when they heard a loud explosion coming from the house of Arbison.

No one could tell the police who the grenade thrower was.

Men of the Explosive and Ordnance Division led by Sr. Insp. Cesar Memoracion conducted a post blast investigation at the site and found out that it was an
MK2 fragmentation grenade that exploded based on the debris and shrapnel recovered thereat.

Nobody was hurt during in the blast as there was nobody around in the house.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo disclosed that investistigators were still working on the case. — Dan Toribio Jr.
