Police net 158 traffic law violators in 4 days PDF Print E-mail

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo yesterday disclosed that the Traffic Section under Sr. Insp. Caesar Memoracion intensified the campaign against traffic law violators on the first day of the year.

In a report submitted to De Ocampo, Memoracion stated that a total of 71 driver licenses were turned over to the Land Transportation Office for varied violations as penalized under MC 89-105.

A total of 158 motorists were apprehended for violation of City Ordinance 248 and were issued corresponding citation tickets.

Memoracion also added that a total of 23 vehicles were impounded at the central police station. The drivers will be issued TOP and citation tickets for traffic violations.

Thirteen vehicles were also held for loading on prohibited zones.

Seventy two motorcycle drivers were apprehended for none wearing of crash helmet.

Twenty four vehicles were held for illegal parking.

Two vehicles were also held for having no plate.

Three vehicles were held for having no headlight and two motorcycles were apprehended for illegal display of plate.
