Beng unveils P1M projects in Baluno PDF Print E-mail

House Deputy Speaker Beng Climaco Friday inaugurated and turned over 3 projects worth some P1million to officials of Barangay Baluno, as she pursues commitment to improve plight of constituents of District I and entire city.

The projects inaugurated included the construction of school fencing, covered walk and the provision of water tank—all at the Baluno National High School.
During turn over rites, Cong. Climaco said the projects are very vital in helping provide a conducive and secured learning atmosphere for high school students. The event was attended by officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) headed by District Engineer Merham Acas, OIC City Schools Superintendent Pedro Melchor Natividad and the Baluno National High School community headed by Principal Gloria Carpio.
Fr. Nevio Vigano, PIME officiated the blessing rite for the 3 projects.

“We try very hard to complement all efforts being made to alleviate conditions of our national high schools in the country. In Zamboanga City, we are lucky that the mayor had been active in the provision of school buildings. In our district, we likewise complement these efforts by ensuring that we look at the needs of the schools and respond to them, “ Climaco stressed.

The congresswoman has been turning over 1M worth of projects in most of the barangays in district 1 as part of her vision of empowering the barangay officials to improve service to the public.

“That is why we value so much the fruits of consultation, because it makes your programs and projects relevant to the lives of the people in the barangay. And it likewise truly serve the purpose of the project,” the lady solon added.

A day before, Climaco also inaugurated and turned over a drainage system project amounting to P1 million to barangay Cawit in pursuit of her commitment to help improve the plight of the constituents and to supplement the programs of the local government. — Marvin Segura
