Three persons were wounded in separate gun and knife attacks in Talon-Talon and Tetuan at dawn yesterday.

Police identified the victims as Almuhtadee Bara y Maluddin, 22, of Talon-Talon, Jay Perlada y Viva, 16, of Talon-Talon and Joebert Dunggay y Laun, 24, a native of Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Bara was driving his XRM motorcycle around 1:50 a.m. along Nurby Drive when two men appeared and one of them shot him twice hitting the neck and cheek.

The perpetrators took Bara’s motorcycle and sped away after the attack.

Bara was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Perlada was walking on his way home in Talon-Talon around 3 a.m.  when he saw a group of young men fighting along the road near a pharmacy along Alvarez Drive, Tetuan.

Terrified, Perlada ran away but two men aboard a motorcycle appeared and thinking that he was involved in the rumble, shot him in the butt.

The group of young men scampered in different directions before the police arrived at the scene.

Perlada was brought to the hospital for treatment.

Dunggay was stabbed and wounded by an identified assailant at Bagong Dalan, Talon-Talon around 12:30 a.m. He sustained a stab wound in the right part of the body. — Dan Toribio Jr.
