5 RMN dramas to be aired simultaneously PDF Print E-mail

The country’s leading radio network Radyo Mo Nationwide ( RMN ) is embarking another milestone in radio drama programming in the network’s Visayan-speaking stations in Visayas and Mindanao.

Beginning January 11, 2012, Wednesday, five of RMN’s premier dramas, that have dominated the airwaves for the past 20 years, will be aired simultaneously at their respective schedules in 12 RMN stations—DYHP Cebu, DXDC Davao, DXCC Cagayan de Oro,  DXBC Butuan,  DXIC Iligan,  DXMD General Santos, DXPR Pagadian,  DXRZ Zamboanga,  DXMY Cotabato,  DXRS Surigao,  DXDR Dipolog and DXMB Malaybalay.

The dramas “Kun Ako ang Pasultihon” will be aired at 9:00-9:30 AM; “Mga Asoy ni Teban ug Goliate” at 1:00-1:30 PM; “Kini ang Akong Suliran” at 1:30-2:00 PM; “Handumanan sa Usa ka Awit” at 2:00-2:30 PM and; “What’s d’ Style” at 3:00-3:30 PM.

“Kun Ako ang Pasultihon” is a comedy drama written and directed by the famous radio personality and Cebu Provincial Board Member Julian “Teban” Daan. The drama talks about ordinary problems of ordinary people to which Daan and Priscilla Raganas, RMN’s premier leading lady gets to pitch in their advices as ordinary people. “Mga Asoy ni Teban ug Goliat” are comedy and fantasy stories lumped together in the said program.

“Kini ang Akong Suliran”, on the other hand, is a program which dramatizes legal and medical problems sent by listeners, who will be advised by Doctor Randolph Rosaroso and Atty. Elaine Bathan while “Handumanan sa Usa ka Awit” are stories of love sent in to the drama production center by RMN listeners. Meanwhile “What’s d’ Style” is purposely written to cater to the usual problems of adults. This program has evolved to tamed and humorous yet still sexy stories which entertain and provides lessons to our adult listeners.   

Mr. Jeony Bigay, Drama Head of the network’s Ilonggo and Cebuano Drama Production Centers, said that RMN is committed to continuously provide the best radio dramas to its millions of listeners all over the country. Dramas that are truly “Tatak RMN” radio dramas that are comforting and inspiring, wholesome, entertaining and realistic, that which every listener can relate with true to its new slogan “ Feel mo to’ he added.

As part of our “ ONE SOUND’ thrust, RMN as the country’s undisputed number one radio network have successfully implemented its uniform drama time blocks in Ilonggo speaking areas comprise of DYHB Bacolod, DYRI Iloilo, DYVR Roxas, DYKR Kalibo and DXKR Marbel. We are targeting that by March of this year the 12 RMN stations airing Cebuano dramas will have its uniform drama time block also to widen its listenerships and market, he further stressed.

Meanwhile, Cebuano Drama Production Manager Jessica Banzon-Natad said that this move is in response to the long time clamor of RMN drama listeners who want to hear updated drama episodes with what is being aired in DYHP Cebu as the production center.
