A blast fisherman, his wife and their son were killed while four other siblings were wounded in an explosion in Barangay Rio Hondo at dawn yesterday.
Killed were Januka Subbaani y Bandera, her husband, Agsali Subbaani and their son Pansidal Subbaani, 17. Wounded were; Pasig Subbaani, 11, Puja Subbaani, 9, Goa-Goa Subaani, 7 and Singa Subaani, 10.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo disclosed that around 1 a.m. Jannuka and Agsali engaged in a heated argument after the former she told him her intention to separate with him because of family problem.

Amid their argument, Agsali grabbed an improvised  explosive used for fishing and lighted it until it exploded in their midst.

Agsali, Jannuka and Pansidal died on the spot, while the four other victims who were also inside the house were hit by flames and sustained burns in the body.

Subbaani’s house was damaged by the blast.

Police believe Agsali was a blast fisherman.
