Western Mindanao Chief Lt. Gen. Benjamin D. Dolorfino retires today as he already met the age of compulsory retirement which applies to every member of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Lt. Gen. Dolorfino is a graduate of Philippine Academy Class 1976 and served as Marine Commandant before he assumed his current post last 2009 after succeeding the now retired Lt. Gen. Nelson N. Allaga.

Meanwhile, 4th Civil Relations Group, Civil Relations Services’ Group Commander Lt. Col. Gamal S. Hayudini said that a testimonial parade will be given to Dolorfino as tribute to his more than three decades of invaluable military service before he will finally hang up his uniform.

The ceremony will be held at WesMinCom ground and will be presided by the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines Gen. Ricardo A. David Jr.
